Medical research is not happening fast enough.
People are suffering and dying every minute from treatable conditions due to the slow pace of traditional research. Every day, we all generate a tremendous amount of health and wellness data (e.g., medical records, medical devices, F itBit, Apple Watch, etc,) that if collected, and put to use, could help cure our wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, friends or neighbors.
Researchers need this "real-world" data but they rarely have access to it. That data is in the hands of you and your loved ones or locked away with your medical providers. Because of this, researchers are rarely able to gain new knowledge from the everyday care of the majority of the population.
